Grand Magic Games Day 1, ended with surprising results:
1st place: Sabre Tooth - 20 points.
2nd place: Raven’s Tail - 18 points.
3rd place: Lamia Scale - 17 points.
4th place: Blue Pegasus - 15 points.
5th place: Wasted Thugs - 12 points.
6th place: Fairy Tail C - 9 points.
7th place: Mermaid Heel - 3 points.
8th place: Quatro Cerberus - 2 points.
10th place: Fairy Tail A - 0 points.
10th place: Fairy Tail B - 0 points.

‘Ha! I knew we’d do better than the other two teams!’ Haili said as they looked at the results in tonight’s newspaper, ‘told you we’d be strong with a Saint in our team!’
‘I didn’t do anything today, though,’ Maxi said.
‘It was the boys who gave their all today, right?’ Sophie said, to which Aleck and Hikaru both grinned. Haili also smiled.
‘Yeah, you were awesome today, Al. You too, Hikaru!’ she said.
‘Told you that game needed a pair of brains,’ Aleck said, teasingly. Before the others could reply to that, they were interrupted by a knock on the door. It was Jay.
‘Good work today, guys,’ he said as he walked in, ‘everyone’s celebrating at the pub, you guys should come too.’
‘Yeah! Party time!’ Haili said. They followed Jay to the pub where they found the rest of the guild celebrating. Aleck immediately got pulled away from the others by Team Racer, while Haili ran off to laugh at Natsu and Gajeel for getting zero points. She bragged about participating in tomorrow’s event, to which both Natsu and Gajeel decided to participate as well.
‘Somehow I get a bad feeling about this,’ Sophie slowly said.
‘Same,’ Maxi sighed.
‘Then again, I hope tomorrow’s battles will be as exciting as today’s!’ Sophie said.
‘I bet they will be,’ Maxi said.
‘I wanna fight Miko again!’ Hikaru sighed.
‘Same here.’
Maxi, Sophie and HIkaru turned around and found Miko standing behind them, accompanied by Ash, Ryan and Ethan.
‘Why are you all here?’ Sophie asked surprised.
‘Well we have a lot of catching up to do, don’t we, nee-chan~’ Ryan said as he put an arm around Maxi. She nodded in agreement.
‘I was already wondering what you three have been doing these past seven years,’ she said.
‘Four! There’s four of us!’ Ash said annoyed.
‘Yup! You’re way cuter when you’re in your chibi form!’ Sophie randomly said.
‘I know right!’ Miko added. Ash sighed defeated.
‘Where’s the time gone where humans still feared werewolves?’

Maxi, Jay, Ryan, Miko, Ethan and Ash went to sit at a table a bit away from the rest in order to catch up with each other. Maxi and Jay explained what happened at Tenroujima, where after the others explained what they have been doing for the past seven years.
‘After we got the news about Acnologia obliterating Tenroujima, the first thing that came to mind was to go after it to take revenge, but the remaining Fairy Tail members managed to talk us out of it,’ Miko said.
‘Thus we decided life just went on, so we continued traveling around,’ Ethan said.
‘A few years ago, we first heard of the Grand Magic Games, it sounded like fun and we wanted to participate, but it turned out you needed to be part of a guild for that,’ Ryan said, ‘and when we decided to make our own guild, it turned out you needed five team members.’
‘So we gave up and continued traveling,’ Miko sighed.
‘But two years ago we ran into Tez and her friends, and we could finally form a guild and participate!’ Ryan said.
‘However, we didn’t make it in time to participate, and the year after we failed to pass the preliminaries, so this is our first year participating,’ Ethan said.
‘Nice!’ Jay said, ‘but if you formed a guild, what is your base of operations?’
‘Actually we only come together for the Grand Magic Games. Other times we just continue traveling our own separate ways,’ Miko explained.
‘Being in a guild is just not our thing after all,’ Ash said.
‘And, how did you end up being guild master, Ryan?’ Maxi asked. Ryan pulled a face.
‘He drew the short straw,’ Ethan said, ‘when we decided to form a guild, no one wanted to be the guild master, since everyone wanted to fight in the games, so we had to hold some sort of lottery, and Ryan lost,’ he explained, to which everyone laughed.
‘How much a person can miss in seven years,’ Jay sighed.
‘Either way we’re all just glad you guys are back,’ Miko said as she suddenly hugged Maxi, causing her to almost spill her drink.
‘But that doesn’t mean we’ll go easy on you in the games,’ Ethan added.
‘We noticed that already,’ Jay said.
‘Just you wait, Fairy Tail! Wasted Thugs is gonna win this games!’ Ryan yelled.
‘Think twice, brat! Fairy Tail is going to kick your ass!!!’ Makarov yelled from the other side of the pub.
‘Just you watch, old man! My guild is gonna crush yours twice over!’ Ryan said, getting a bit too enthusiastic.
‘Fight me, brat!’ Makarov yelled.
‘Master! If you start a fight with another guild master we might get disqualified!’ Lucy said.
‘Then we’ll wipe their asses in the games!’ Makarov yelled, ‘you hear me, brats? KICK THEIR ASSES!!!’
‘AYE SIR!!!’ Everyone yelled in chorus.

However…
‘You’ve got to be kidding me...’ Sophie sighed, staring at the Lacrima vision.
‘What is this!?’ Chapati yelled, ‘all the way at the back of the line of chariots, we have Fairy Tail and Sabre Tooth, and all four seem to be having trouble getting ahead! What is this?’
On the back of the line of chariots, all four Dragon Slayers were troubled by motion sickness. Even Haili.
‘What the hell...I’ve never had motion sickness before, why now all of a sudden!?’ Haili whined. Meanwhile Gajeel was struggling with the same question, and so was the audience.
‘Yajima-san, do you know what’s going on?’ Chapati asked.
‘No idea,’ Yajima said.
‘I do,’ Tim sighed, ‘not many people know this, but motion sickness is something most dragon slayers have in common...’
‘COOOLLL!!!’
Maxi face palmed.
‘I should’ve known. In those three months she gained enough power to get that far...’ she muttered.
‘It depends on a Dragon Slayer’s strength whether they have motion sickness or not?’ Aleck asked. Maxi nodded.
‘Then...’ Hikaru slowly said.
‘Maxi you too?’ Sophie asked.
‘If you tell anyone I’ll end you!’ Maxi snapped, while Hikaru and Aleck were trying to hold back their laughter.
Meanwhile, in the chariot race, things were getting started in the front! Lamia Scale’s Yuuka, Quatro Cerberus’ Bachus, Wasted Thugs’ Sheila, Blue Pegasus’ Ichiya, Raven’s Tail’s Kurohebi, and Mermaid Heel’s  Risley were all competing for the first place. Yuuka tried using his wave magic to block the others from using theirs. However, Risley got around it by running on the side of the chariots, while Ichiya stuffed his glass tubes of perfume in his nose, so the magic wouldn’t be nullified. Meanwhile Bachus also got excited, as he used his strength to knock a few chariots over, and a few people off. Sheila tried to make use of all the confusion to slip past everyone, but Kurohebi surprised her with an attack, causing her to fall back to fifth place.
In the end Quatro Cerberus won this round, followed by Raven’s Tail, Mermaid Heel, Lamia Scale, Wasted Thugs, Blue Pegasus, and after an emotional speech; Fairy Tail A, C and B, while Sabre Tooth got disqualified because Sting admitted defeat.
‘Haili-nee, are you all right?’ Hikaru asked as he and the others walked up to Haili, who was still laying on the ground, too dizzy and sick to get up.
‘Sorry….didn’t see this coming….’ she muttered.
‘Don’t worry about it,’ Maxi said, ‘you ended in seventh place, so you still got us three points.’
‘We’re proud of you!’ Aleck said as he helped Haili get up, ‘c’mon, I’ll take you to Porlyusica-san.’
‘Thanks Al...’
